Paul Scheib, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Boston Children’s Hospital Mr. Scheib serves as Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Director of IS Operations for Boston Children’s Hospital. In this role, Mr. Scheib is responsible for Information Security, Networking, Data Center Operations, Telecommunications, and Desktop Services. Mr. Scheib established the Information Security Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and is responsible for the security infrastructure and ensuring the hospital’s compliance with HIPAA security regulations. Mr. Scheib has been with Boston Children’s for over 15 years and has over thirty years of IT management and consulting experience. Prior to Children’s Hospital Boston, Mr. Scheib was the Vice President of Engineering for Genuity, an Internet Service Provider. He was responsible for developing Internet-based application and infrastructure services, which included Security Services, Web Hosting, Storage Services and IP Voice Services. Mr. Scheib was also a Managing Consultant for AT Kearney and Arthur D. Little, specializing in IT strategy and project implementation. Mr. Scheib holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, a Masters in Information Systems from Northeastern University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Western New England College. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
