Marina Spyrou is Senior Vice President of Global Security and Risk Management with Nielsen’s Chief Security Office. In this capacity, she is responsible for leading Nielsen’s overall strategy for Nielsen’s Advanced Threat Detection and Risk Assessment Programs, enabling the business to make sound risk-based decisions. She is also responsible for Nielsen’s global security awareness and training. Marina has been with Nielsen since 2008.

Marina has extensive experience as a management consultant with various Fortune 500 companies in diverse verticals, including pharmaceuticals, ecommerce, supply chain, retail and manufacturing, to help them implement new technologies and business process reengineering.

Marina received her undergraduate degree in History from the University of Chicago and her Master’s degree in Management of Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  She holds current certifications with ISACA and PMI: CGEIT, CISM, CRISC, and PMP.  In 2014, Marina was honored to be one of three finalists for “Multiplier of the Year”, an award sponsored by the Wiseman Group.
